A day after signing free agent long snapper Drew Ferris the Seahawks have waived the other long snapper on their roster, Andrew East.
The move continues what has been a sudden whirlwind of activity at the snapping spot in the last week.
Seattle waived long-time snapper Clint Gresham — who had held the spot since 2010 — on March 16. At that point, that left only East on the roster at the snapping spot as Seattle had signed him to a futures contract in January.
Wednesday, it was announced that the Seahawks signed Ferris, who played at Florida and was in rookie mini-camp last year with the New York Jets.
