The Seattle Seahawks (3-2) and San Francisco 49ers (2-3) are playing on Thursday for the third season in a row. Seattle has lost five straight to San Francisco (including the playoffs), and if there ever a time to end that streak and have clear water over the 49ers in the NFC West standings, it’s now. Both teams are coming off surprise home losses as heavy favorites, and now they have to pick themselves off the mat and try and snag a win on a short week.
Seattle has a banged up defense and will be without cornerback Riq Woolen and (for a third game in a row) defensive tackle Byron Murphy.
