It's difficult to imagine the Seattle Seahawks having a worse first half than the one they turned in Sunday afternoon against the Carolina Panthers.
Pete Carroll's squad trailed 31-0 entering the break. The defense allowed scores on the Panthers' first four possessions as Cam Newton and company notched three touchdowns and a field goal. The Panthers' fourth touchdown came on a Luke Kuechly interception in the first quarter.
It was disaster after disaster for the Seahawks. Jonathan Stewart opened the game with a 59-yard run, and the Panthers piled up 118 yards on the ground. In their previous two games, the Seahawks had allowed a total of 85 yards combined.
