The Seahawks have traded for Detroit safety Quandre Diggs to bolster a depleted secondary, sending to the Lions a 2020 fifth-round draft pick, The Seattle Times has confirmed.
Seattle also acquired a 2021 seventh-round pick in the exchange.
The NFL Networks’ Tom Pelissero was first to report the deal.
Diggs, 26, listed at 5-feet-9 and 197 pounds, has started five games for Detroit this season, missing some time with a hamstring injury.
He started all 16 games in 2018, finishing with 64 tackles, three interceptions and eight pass breakups.
The Seahawks had a need at safety after starter Bradley McDougald (back) and backup Lano Hill (elbow) both went down with injuries last week.
