RENTON -- The Seahawks' have had their protection in the past but this might be considered excessive reinforcement.
Because Monday's contest against the Atlanta Falcons will be Seattle's Salute to Service game, present at practice Friday afternoon was an M4A1 Sherman tank, complete with ammunition. (Thankfully none of it was fired.)
That means there will be two Shermans at the game Monday: the tank, and cornerback Richard Sherman, who was also a (much smaller in stature) spectator Friday, watching practice from a medical scooter with his foot in a cast.
(Feel free to make opine about the Sherman tank's ability to play left tackle; everyone else already is.
