Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Seahawks are signing OT Tyrus Thompson to a contract after they lost LT George Fant for the season with a torn ACL.
Thompson, 25, was a sixth-round pick by the Vikings in 2015, but was unfortunately waived from the team with an injury designation and later reverted to the team’s injured reserve list after clearing waivers.
Thompson signed a two-year, $990,000 contract with the Lions last year before he was waived after last year’s draft. Thompson caught on with the Saints soon after but was once again waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and later reverted to injured reserve.
