On Friday, Jones became the sixth member of the 11 player 2017 Seattle Seahawks draft class to sign with the team. The defensive lineman was taken in the third round and was the 102nd overall player to go. Jones is expected to be the backup nose guard in 2017.
He has the size, though, to become a stalwart at the position for several years in Seattle. Jones is 6’5″ and 300 pounds, but has the height to add more weight if needed. After signing a four-year contract, the Seahawks appear to have that expectation for him as well.
