Seahawks sign TE Brandon Williams, DE Tavaris Barnes

The Seattle Seahawks announced two minor signings hours before the start of the 2016 NFL draft.

Seattle added former New Orleans Saints defensive end Tavaris Barnes and former Carolina Panthers and Miami Dolphins tight end Brandon Williams in moves that give the team additional depth heading into offseason workouts.

Barnes, 24, played in 13 games with the Saints last season after going undrafted out of Clemson. The 6-foot-4, 275-pounder totaled five tackles on the year. He was waived on Monday.

Williams, 28, spent parts of three seasons with the Panthers after signing as an undrafted free agent in 2012.
