Seahawks sign RB Bryce Brown, try out nine others

The Seattle Seahawks made a roster move Tuesday, signing running back Bryce Brown and releasing wide receiver B.J. Daniels.

The addition is likely related to Thomas Rawls having suffered a calf injury in the team's win over the San Francisco 49ers Thursday night.

Brown, 24, was originally a seventh-round draft pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2012. The 6-foot, 220-pounder ran 115 times for 564 yards as a rookie, averaging 4.9 YPC. The Eagles ran a lot of outside zone that year under offensive line coach Howard Mudd.
