With living legend Alex McGough off to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Brett Hundley a free agent, Russell Wilson entered Thursday as the only quarterback currently on the Seattle Seahawks roster.
Not anymore.
In news I know you’re absolutely itching to read, first-round draft bust Paxton Lynch, formerly of the Denver Broncos, has signed a reserve/futures contract with the Seahawks, making him the first entrant in the competition to be Wilson’s backup QB for the 2019 season.
I don’t need to tell you that Lynch is/was terrible. One of John Elway’s many misfires, Lynch was taken 26th overall and only made four starts across two seasons, getting released before the start of the 2018 season.
