It’s been more than three months since the Seattle Seahawks fell to the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round of the 2019 NFL playoffs, and the world has changed drastically in the time since. With the NFL hosting the 2020 draft virtually, it’s been a bit of a different experience for fans watching at home.
For Seahawks fans the uniqueness of the draft this year is that for the first time since 2011 the team has used its native first round pick to select a player in the college draft. In each of the eight previous drafts the team has either traded down before making a selection or traded its first round pick for a player from another team.
