With the 186th pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks have selected edge rusher Jake Martin, out of Temple.
With the Seahawks looking for an edge defender following the trade of Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril’s uncertain future, Martin could fill a key role for the team. Martin did not receive a combine invite from the NFL, so should meet the “chip on the shoulder” requirement with which the Seahawks have had success in recent seasons.
Jake is the brother of Josh Martin, a five-year NFL veteran who started nine games at linebacker for the Jets in 2017.
