RENTON — Ahtyba Rubin calls what he does on the football field “a quiet job.”
He plays primarily what the Seahawks term a “three-technique” defensive tackle position, lined up typically between the guard and tackle and tasked usually with playing in obvious running situations.
“It’s definitely a grit (job),” he said. “You’ve got to want to do it. You’ve got to want to put your head in there and hold up that double-team so you free up Bobby (Wagner) or Kam (Chancellor) so they can make that big play or get that ball out.
