Seahawks rule out Earl Thomas for Sunday’s game against Washington

The Seahawks have officially ruled out free safety Earl Thomas for Sunday’s game against Washington due to a hamstring injury suffered last Sunday against Houston.

Thomas and guard Luke Joeckel, expected to miss another three weeks or so after recently having knee surgery, were the only two players ruled out.

Thomas will be replaced by Bradley McDougald, who was signed as a free agent in the offseason after starting 31 games at safety the past two seasons with Tampa Bay.

It will be just the seventh regular season games Thomas has missed since coming to Seattle in 2010, but all have come since last November.
