Seahawks roster cuts 2019: Seattle releases DeShawn Shead

Roster cuts are underway across the NFL, and among those who won’t make the 53-man roster for the Seattle Seahawks is a familiar face.

ESPN’s Brady Henderson reported on Friday night that DB DeShawn Shead has been released, just one month after bringing him back into the fold.

Shead was with the Seahawks from 2012-2017, starting at cornerback from late 2015 and through the entire 2016 season. He missed almost all of 2017 after his torn ACL in Seattle’s playoff loss to the Atlanta Falcons, and he inked a one-year contract with the Detroit Lions, ending that season on IR in December.
