The Seahawks have released receiver Kevin Norwood, reports Aaron Wilson. Norwood was a fourth round pick in 2014, and appeared in nine games while catching 9 passes for 102 yards his rookie year, but was never able to separate himself from the pack at that position in training camp this year. Kevin Smith, BJ Daniels, Kasen Williams, and Ricardo Lockette all end up sitting ahead of him on the depth chart, vying for those key fifth and sixth receiver spots.
Norwood is the fourth player released from the Seahawks nine-man Draft class from 2014, joining DT Jimmy Staten, OT Garrett Scott, and FB Kiero Small.
