Seahawks rookie Byron Murphy II ‘expected to miss some time’ with hamstring injury

Bad news for the Seattle Seahawks defensive line.

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported that Seahawks’ rookie defensive tackle, Byron Murphy “is expected to miss some time” with his recent hamstring injury. Fowler went on to state that this time period “might not be too long, but Seattle will be cautious with its first-round pick.” Murphy went down with the injury last Sunday in the victory over the Miami Dolphins. Though this statement from Fowler doesn’t give a specific recovery time, pairing this information with the recent practice squad signing of Matt Gotel, may indicate that Murphy may miss at least a few weeks.
