Seahawks release DT Jesse Williams, tender CB Marcus Burley

The Seahawks have made two more personnel moves as the free agency period approaches on Wednesday, waiving defensive tackle Jesse Williams and also tendering exclusive rights free agent cornerback Marcus Burley.

Williams was a fifth-round pick in 2013 but never played a game for the Seahawks in the regular season. He missed the 2013 and 2014 seasons with knee injuries that required surgery. Last May he was then diagnosed with Papillary Type 2 cancer and had surgery to remove a kidney. Williams recovered from that to play in the pre-season but was then waived and placed on the non-football illness list for the rest of the season.
