That happened fast.
The Seattle Seahawks have released DJ Fluker, starting right guard for the past two seasons.
“Dear 12s, I was released by the Seahawks today,” Fluker said. “Couple of things: I am not upset, or hurt. This is a business and one that I’ve been in for a while. I want to thank John and Pete for their very thoughtful calls. Stay safe, be kind and I love y’all. Thank you, Seattle.”
This was a move that many expected, especially following the draft of highly regarded LSU guard Damien Lewis. But the move happening 24 hours after the conclusion of the draft is a bit unusual.
