The Seattle Seahawks released eight players on Tuesday, including CB Perrish Cox, a seven-year pro who holds the Big 12’s career record for most kickoff return yards.
Cox was signed by Seattle in January as insurance, after starting CB DeShawn Shead tore his ACL in Seattle’s 36-20 playoff loss to the Falcons; Cox had also briefly been a Seahawk in 2013, appearing in two games with the team before being cut.
In 2016, Cox started nine games for the Titans, but was cut by the team in late November due to poor performance.
