Barring an unforeseen shift in weather patterns, Sunday's NFC wild card matchup between the Seahawks and Vikings at TCF Bank Stadium will be the coldest game on record in Seahawks annals.
According to weather.com, the forecast as of Wednesday morning calls for a high of 1 and a low of -9, as an arctic chill is set to hit the area this weekend. That means the wind chill will likely dip into the negative teens.
Per the NFL Stats database, that should easily surpass the lowest temps for a Seahawks game since 1991 -- a 23-20 win over the Broncos in Denver in December of 2006, when the temperature was a balmy 16 degrees.
