Seahawks re-sign quarterback Austin Davis

The Seahawks have re-signed Austin Davis to add depth at quarterback, according to a report from NFL Media Monday morning.

Davis also served as Seattle’s backup in 2017 and will get a one-year deal for the veteran minimum, according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network.

Seattle last week also signed Stephen Morris to compete for backup QB duties behind Wilson.

Garafolo reports the Seahawks are still considering whether to host Colin Kaepernick for a visit.

Davis had seemed an obvious candidate to sign since he not only had experience with Seattle last year but also with new Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer from 2012-14 with the Rams, starting eight games in 2014.
