On Monday morning, the Seahawks made a transaction we long expected, and brought back a player following a release that nobody had expected.
Wide receiver Jaron Brown, released over the weekend, was re-signed by Seattle and will presumably step back into the starting role he was expected to fill in his second season with the team. To make room for Brown, tight end Ed Dickson was placed on injured reserve. The veteran tight end will be eligible to return to the 53-man roster after eight games.
In his first season with the Seahawks, Brown caught 14 passes for 166 yards and a career-high five touchdowns.
