After expressing hope on Sunday that Thomas Rawls might be back this week, coach Pete Carroll on Monday confirmed that the running back will be out “a few more weeks” with a cracked bone in his left fibula.
The team had initially said Rawls suffered a contusion in his leg after being kicked in a 9-3 loss to the Rams on Sept. 18. But Carroll said Monday that further tests showed more of an injury than had originally been diagnosed.
“They were able to find a little something in there in the evaluation today that wasn’t clear a week ago but makes sense for how uncomfortable he was feeling,” Carroll said Monday afternoon.
