With Neiko Thorpe sidelined, the Seattle Seahawks have added a cornerback to their active roster. Kalan Reed, signed to the team’s practice squad following a workout early last month, has been promoted to the active roster. He’ll join a group consisting of Shaquill Griffin, Tre Flowers, Justin Coleman, Thorpe and Akeem King.
To make room for Reed, the Seahawks have waived linebacker Emmanuel Ellerbee. Ellerbee was claimed off waivers on October 22, following T.J. Green’s retirement. With Mychal Kendricks set to return next month, Seattle has some flexibility at linebacker, which allowed them to waive Ellerbee.
