The Seahawks broke open their 27-3 victory over the Raiders in London on Sunday with the kind of play that encapsulates all that makes Russell Wilson what he is — and also showed the increasing confidence of the Seattle offense.
Facing a third-and-five at the Oakland 19 on the second play of the second quarter, the Seahawks lined up in an empty backfield, with running back Mike Davis lining up far right, receiver Doug Baldwin in the slot to the right, and Tyler Lockett and David Moore in the slot left and wide to the left, respectively.
Oakland responded with a Cover One defense, with man coverage on the receivers and safety Reggie Nelson deep as the last line of defense.
