Seahawks OTAs and all the news fit to read

The Seahawks were missing several players during OTAs on Thursday. Earl Thomas, of course, is still holding out – or at least making it appear that way. But Seattle was also without Frank Clark, Byron Maxwell, D.J. Fluker and Sebastian Janikowski.

Clark and Maxwell just seemed to be, as Pete Carroll said, taking OTAs “literally” as voluntary. Of course, these workouts are voluntary, but it still seems odd that players avoid them when their teammates are there. Maxwell, for one, was signed to a one-year deal so one would think that he would want to show up to help ease the report for his next contract.
