On Wednesday afternoon, the Seattle Seahawks made the signing of Earl Mitchell official, after it was reported earlier in the day. Along with Mitchell, the Seahawks also signed wide receiver Daniel Williams. Undrafted in 2017 following a record-setting career at Jackson State, Williams has spent time with the Raiders, Washington, the Jets and Browns.
To make room on the roster, Seattle released UDFA running back Marcelias Sutton and cornerback Derrek Thomas, who also went undrafted in 2019. Thomas, a former wide receiver turned cornerback, was signed by the team immediately following the draft.
