Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson told a North Carolina radio station he’s not worried about his ongoing contract negotiations with the team after experiencing adversity earlier in his career.
Wilson spoke with 99.9/The Fan in Raleigh, where he played quarterback for NC State from 2007 to 2010 before Wolfpack head coach Tom O’Brien asked him to leave the program instead of pursuing both college football and minor league baseball.
The 26-year-old Wilson said the experiences he learned through that process — which led to his eventual transfer to Wisconsin for his final college season — taught him he could succeed despite upheaval.
