If the Seahawks had only held on to kicker Jason Myers last offseason, Seattle would have already fixed their problem with special teams. Of course, Seattle had veteran Sebastian Janikowski in camp and decided to go with a more known commodity. There was nothing wrong with that really. Myers hadn’t done much in his short NFL career and Janikowski had.
Myers, though, was excellent in 2018 with the New York Jets. He signed with the Jets after Seattle let him go. Myers made the Pro Bowl after making 33 of 36 field goal attempts. He was six for seven beyond 50 yards.
