Seahawks make TE swap: Steve Donatell signed, Williams waived

Steve Donatell has signed with the Seattle Seahawks, the team announced Thursday.

The tight end was in rookie minicamp as a tryout player and joins Seattle as undrafted rookie out of Western Kentucky, where he caught 13 passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns in 2016. The 6-foot-5, 241-pounder began his college career as a linebacker at Wake Forest, and switched to TE in 2015. In that season, Donatell had three catches for 31 yards.

To make room for Donatell on the 90-man roster, Seattle waived tight end Bryce Williams, who signed with the Seahawks in May.
