The Seahawks and Pete Carroll took a chance on Sunday by playing their starters for the entire game. Seattle was assured of making the playoffs prior to playing the Cardinals. And as it turned out, Seattle would have been the fifth-seed in the postseason even if they had lost since the Vikings lost on Sunday. Seattle did win, though, and thankfully suffered no long-lasting injuries.
Cornerback Shaquill Griffin was one Seahawk who did have to miss time against Arizona after being injured in the game. Griffin suffered a “slight ankle sprain,” according to Carroll.
