Seahawks’ Luke Willson makes ‘marked improvements’ after suffering concussion vs. Rams

Carroll said it was too soon to know if Willson would be back this week against Arizona but added the early indications point to a possibly quick recovery.

RENTON — Contributing to the Seahawks’ offensive issues in Sunday’s 23-17 loss to the St. Louis Rams was a depleted tight-end position that took a further hit during the game when Luke Willson left in the second quarter because of a concussion.

The good news is that Willson made “marked improvements’’ Monday, coach Pete Carroll said. Willson was injured on a hit by St. Louis cornerback Trumaine Johnson that drew a flag for unnecessary roughness.
