Seahawks' Luke Joeckel to undergo knee surgery this week

RENTON -- Seahawks left guard Luke Joeckel will have a knee scope performed Thursday and the timeline for his return is currently uncertain, coach Pete Carroll said Monday.

Joeckel has started all five games this season for the Seahawks, who have a bye this week before playing at the Giants on Oct. 22. Carroll said it would be hard to expect Joeckel, who's on a one-year deal with Seattle, to be back by then.

Drafted No. 2 overall in 2013, Joeckel played three seasons at left tackle for the Jaguars, then moved to left guard in 2016.
