Seahawks Lose for 1st Time in Carroll Era When Scoring 30-Plus Points

The Seattle Seahawks lost 34-31 to the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, marking the first time the team has lost when scoring 30 or more points under head coach Pete Carroll, per ESPN Stats & Info.

Previously 23-0 (including playoff games) when scoring 30-plus points in the Carroll era, the Seahawks were on track to make it 24-0 after cornerback Cary Williams returned a fumble for a touchdown to provide a 31-24 lead with under five minutes remaining.

The Rams then marched down the field for a 12-play, 84-yard drive, with tight end Lance Kendricks scoring a 37-yard, game-tying touchdown with just 53 seconds remaining.
