RENTON, Wash. -- During an interview with Q13 Fox, Seattle Seahawks kicker Steven Hauschka revealed that people have been spelling his first name wrong for years.
"It's actually a p-h-e-n," Hauschka said. "S-t-e-p-h-e-n is my real first name. But the Seahawks have it as S-t-e-v-e-n. There was a little mix-up in college."
Hauschka has spent nine seasons in the NFL (six with the Seahawks) and has played in 106 games. The whole time, everybody's been spelling his name wrong -- even the team's website.
Asked what he prefers to go by now, Hauschka said, "I just like to go by Steve.
