It’s about time. Finally, someone has handed the Seahawks John Schneider the title of NFL’s Best General Manager.

David Steele of the Sporting News put Schneider at the top of this year’s rankings, over such rival GM’s as Baltimore’s Ozzie Newsome, Denver’s John Elway, and Schneider’s old mentor Ted Thompson of the Packers.
Steele says the best way to make it to the top of his rankings is to “build a consistent winner,” and Schneider has certainly done that. Working in harmony with Head Coach and V.P. Pete Carroll, Schneider took over a terrible roster in 2010 and transformed it into one that was good enough to make consecutive Super Bowls and looks poised to challenge for a few more.
