Day one of Seattle Seahawks training camp is complete, but there were a few notable absences. Rookie linebacker Ben Burr-Kirven and safety Marquise Blair started out camp on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, with Burr-Kirven recovering from sports hernia surgery and Blair bothered by a hamstring. Also notably on the preseason PUP were rookie G Phil Haynes (sports hernia) and rookie DL Demarcus Christmas (back).
The good news is that it shouldn’t be too long before Burr-Kirven and Blair are on the field and practicing. Head coach Pete Carroll confirmed with media that Burr-Kirven and Blair passed their respective physicals and should be ready to hit the field in a matter of days.
