Seahawks’ infectious disease emergency response plan approved by the NFLPA

The Seahawks are inching closer to returning to the Virginia Mason Athletic Center and beginning training camp.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Seattle, as well as the other six remaining teams, had their infectious disease emergency response plan approved by the NFLPA on Wednesday.

Dr. Allen Sills, the NFL’s chief medical officer, told Rapoport that teams’ IDER plans are crucial to enhancing the safety of everyone around the team:

I am very proud of the innovation and attention to detail that our club medical staffs have shown as they have created these plans, which were reviewed and approved by the league, the NFLPA and our infectious disease experts.
