Seattle Seahawks edge rusher Uchenna Nwosu is signing a three-year extension with the team that is worth up to $59 million, his agents Drew Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The deal includes $32 million in guaranteed money.
Nwosu, 26, is coming off a career year with the Seahawks in which he started all 17 regular-season games and co-led the team in sacks (9.5), to go along with a career-high 66 tackles, including 12 for loss. He also forced three fumbles
A second-round pick by the Chargers out of USC in 2018, Nwosu spent his first three seasons as mostly a backup to Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram, a pair of Pro Bowlers, before becoming a full-time starter in 2021.
