Seahawks free agency primer: Who might stay and who might go? And who could Seahawks be targeting?

The NFL, which likes to make as big of a deal as it can out of everything, has given what is about to unfold its own officially-sanctioned name — Free Agent Frenzy.

Officially, the “frenzy’’ gets underway Wednesday at 1 p.m. Seattle time when players whose contracts ran out after last season — such as Earl Thomas, K.J. Wright and J.R. Sweezy, — are free to sign with other teams.

In actuality, it begins Monday at 1 p.m. Pacific time when teams can legally begin negotiating with agents (though if you think such talks haven’t already started already I’m here to tell you that it never snows in Seattle).
