Needing to add some depth to their defensive backfield following the serious injury suffered by DeShawn Shead in Saturday's loss at Atlanta, the Seahawks have reportedly signed veteran cornerback Perrish Cox.
A team source confirmed NFL Network's Mike Garafolo report of Cox's imminent signing Wednesday, with Garafolo saying the 30-year-old could play a key role with Seattle given Shead's injury.
Cox's name should ring a bell to Seahawks fans. The Oklahoma State alum signed with Seattle for a brief time at the end of the 2013 season before being released prior to the Seahawks' run to Super Bowl XLVIII.
