The Seattle Seahawks made two depth moves in anticipation of the Sunday Night Football clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers and both moves were quite obviously going to be made.
Now that Geno Smith is slated to be the starter for the next few weeks, the Seahawks have elevated Jake Luton off of the practice squad to be the backup quarterback against the Steelers.
Luton, a second-year quarterback from Oregon State, spent last season and training camp this year with the Jacksonville Jaguars before being waived at final roster cuts and claimed by Seattle.
