The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms on a new three-year deal with starting defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin.
Rubin, 29, played seven seasons with the Cleveland Browns before signing a one-year deal with the Seahawks last offseason.
Rubin (6-foot-2, 325 pounds) had 36 tackles last season and played 47.8 percent of the team's defensive snaps. At one point during the season, Pete Carroll said Rubin was the best three-technique defensive tackle he's had in Seattle.
Coaches consistently praised Rubin for his effort and hustle. The Seahawks limited opponents to 3.
