Seahawks restricted free agent defensive tackle Jesse Williams said Thursday that he's cleared to return to football after undergoing treatment for kidney cancer.
Williams, 25, was diagnosed with papillary Type 2 renal cancer in May 2015, which required surgery to remove a kidney later that month.
Williams returned to practice during Seahawks training camp just months after the surgery before being placed on the reserve/non-football injury list in September.
On Thursday, he revealed that he'd been cleared to once again resume his football career.
"Finally Got the all clear to return to football," Williams tweeted.
