Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Jesse Williams tweeted today that he has been cleared to return to football activities.
Last May, doctors discovered cancer in Williams' kidney and had it removed. He returned to the team and participated in training camp and the preseason. But Williams was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list as the Seahawks trimmed their roster to 53 players.
"They removed the whole kidney, which is Stage 3," Williams told the Tacoma News Tribune in September. "But they also removed the lymph nodes around the kidney. The lymph nodes are like the (blood) highway for the body.
