Seahawks drop out of NFC's second seed with loss to Cardinals

For Seahawks fans disappointed with their team's effort in a 34-31 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, there's good news: you might get to see them play at home again a week earlier than expected.

OK, that's not great news either.

Seattle's loss, which dropped them to 9-5-1 on the season, combined with the Atlanta Falcons' 33-16 victory over the Carolina Panthers earlier in the day, dropped Seattle out of the NFC's second playoff seed. If the Falcons (10-5) beat the New Orleans Saints at home on New Year's Day, the Seahawks will be forced to play in the NFL wild-card round on Jan.
