The Seattle Seahawks actually made a pick on Thursday, making one of the first big surprises of the day by selecting running back Rashaad Penny out of San Diego State.
Penny outstanding over the last two seasons: 3,266 yards on the ground and 34 touchdowns. That includes 2,248 yards last season and 7.8 yards per carry. You can’t put up those kinda numbers without having some incredible highlights. Penny will now be playing in a backfield that has lacked talent and health since the end of the Marshawn Lynch era, and he’ll have the support of Pete Carroll, new offensive line coach Mike Solari, offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, and the offensive line all helping to make him successful because of their vocal commitment to a better run game.
