Seahawks DL Michael Bennett’s surgery moved to Wednesday — team still hopes he’s out only 2-3 weeks

Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett will have arthroscopic knee surgery on Wednesday in Los Angeles, coach Pete Carroll said Monday.

The surgery had originally been slated for Monday but was moved back. However, Carroll said it does not change the timeline for Bennett’s return, with Carroll saying the hope remains he will be out only 2-3 weeks following the surgery.

“We are going to stay real positive and say 2-3 weeks,’’ Carroll said. “We’ll know more Wednesday afternoon.’’

As for other injuries, here are some updates:

  • QB Russell Wilson made it through the Saints game without “nicking’’ any of the areas where he has had injuries this season, Carroll said.
