Seahawks defensive end Dion Jordan signs tender to stay with Seattle in 2018

Defensive end Dion Jordan has signed his restricted free agent tender with the Seahawks, the team announced Thursday, officially keeping him in the fold for the 2018 season.

That means Jordan will receive a salary of $1.907 for the 2018 season. Jordan was tendered in March and other teams had until April 20 to sign Jordan to an offer sheet. Seattle could have either matched or been awarded a first-round pick as compensation. Jordan did not sign an offer sheet, however, and on Thursday signed with the Seahawks.

Jordan, who was the third overall pick in the draft by Miami in 2013 out of Oregon, missed all of the 2015 and 2016 seasons due to an NFL drug suspension and a knee injury, signing with Seattle as a free agent last spring.
